CAUTION: TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL- STARTING when servicing the engirie or
equipment, always remove the wire from
r the spark plug and holding
insert In tab.
Disconnect negative wire from battery ter-
minal, if equipped with 12 volt startingsys-
tem.
_::::2-' CHECK OIL LEVEL REGULARLY:
Check after each 5 hours of operalion or
daily. BE SURE OIL LEVEL IS MAIN-
TAINED,
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Occasionally place a few drops of oil on governor
and throille linkage and choke. A slight filmof oiI on
these parts will afford additional protection from
freezing and corrosion,
After using snow remora] equipment, conlinue to
run the engine for about 10 minutes in an area pro-
tected from snow, This willgivethe engine an oppor-
tunity to dry out any moislure which has collecled.
When equipment is not in operation, provide protec-
tion from direct exposure to freezing rain or snow.
CHANGE OIL AS RECOMMENDED:
Change oilafter first5 hours of operation, Then, un-
der normal operating conditions, change oil after
every 50 hoursol operation or every season, which-
ever occursfirst,Change oil aher every 25 hours of
operalion il the engine is operated under heavy
load. Remove oil drain plug and drain oilwhile en-
gine is warm, Replace drain plug, Remove oil till
plug or dipstick and refill with new oll of correct
grade, Replace oil fill plug or dipstick.

CHANGE OIL (Gear Reduction Ootion_:
Remove oil leve} plug and oil fill plug. Drain oilafter
every 100 hours of operation or every season,
whichever occurs first.To refill, pour SAE 30 oil into
oil fillhole until it runs out ]eve] check hole. Replace
both plugs. Oil fill plughas a vent hole and must be
installed on lop of gear case cover.
